Why try
What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda literally means the "science" or "knowledge" of "life". The keys to longevity and contentment are revealed in Ayurveda through mind-body-consciousness and more specifically, the human mind-body-consciousness-gut connection — that how we think, how we feel, how we digest also affects and is affected by the food we eat, our daily routines, our interactions, choice of exercise, the seasons, life events, daily stress, etc. Ayurveda is a natural & holistic health science more than 5,000 years old that originates in India. It has withstood the test of time, in spite of colonial era efforts to extinguish it.

Who can benefit from Ayurveda?

Every individual. All ages. It's never too early to learn to recognize the signs of your body and mind, and then learn what to do about it. I have a soft spot for the underdogs of society, groups of the population that are particularly vulnerable to the effects of modern ill-fitting diets and lifestyle: (1) women, supporting women through life transitions, processing work stress, and menu/meal planning to reduce family stress, (2) elderly. helping those suffering with side effects and chronic disease, (3) children. helping those suffering with ambiguous or chronic symptoms through diet and lifestyle (children must be accompanied by a parent).

What does Ayurveda actually include?

The key principles of Ayurveda include its holistic approach to personalized health and wellness, its reliance on natural remedies, its focus on prevention to maintain harmony, its time-tested ancient wisdom, and its tools for modern wellness. Elaborated further as follows:

  • Personalized: Ayurveda practitioners take a personalized approach to health and wellness, taking into account the unique needs and constitution of each individual utilizing a deeply rooted and powerful paradigm to understand the body, the mind, the environment, and food.

  • Natural: Ayurveda relies heavily on natural elements such as food, herbs, and oils, making it an attractive option for people who are looking for alternatives to man-made chemicals.

  • Preventive: Ayurveda places a strong emphasis on preventative care and maintaining harmony in the body to prevent illness.

  • Ancient wisdom: Ayurveda has been around more than 5,000 years and its principles and practices are based on ancient knowledge and wisdom. It has withstood the test of time, even when there were colonial era attempts to extinguish it.

  • Modern wellness: According to Ayurveda, everything we ingest through the five senses and the mind affects our body, mind, gut, and consciousness. The Ayurvedic paradigm provides a logical and structured framework to understand the fluidity needed between one's inner and outer world. This ancient paradigm adopted for modern wellness gives each individual the ability to mitigate and manage effects of external influences such as stress, anxiety, and trauma using Ayurvedic tools.

How do I start the process?

Contact us using the form on the Contact page. Then, we'll reach out to you via email to begin the process. You'll receive a client intake form and once completed, we'll schedule the first e-session at a time that is convenient for the client and the Ayurvedic practitioner.

What happens during and after the e-session?

The first e-session typically takes 1.5-2 hours. During and after the session, the practitioner analyzes physical and emotional well-being, vital energy, face, nail & tongue analysis, and more. Initial observations and education are shared in the appointment itself.. The follow-up appointments are also scheduled for a future date.

Via email, the initial opportunities, analysis, and education are shared. The goal is to impart that knowledge in an organic manner so it’s practical for each person. Most people’s health and wellness issues can be addressed through diet, simple herbs, and lifestyle (which includes personalized yoga, pranayam (breath work), acupressure, aromatherapy, meditation, etc).

After 1-3 weeks, the first 30-min follow-up session is held to assess progress and reveal additional secondary diet and lifestyle factors that are impacting the client's unique body-mind-consciousness & gut. Initially, we focus on the most significant factors contributing to health and wellness in body, mind, and consciousness. Each time we meet, progress is assessed and additional education is provided. It’s progressive in design. Evolution is a step-wise process.

Will there be in-person consultations at some point?

Yes, one day. Currently, all client sessions occur through Google Meet video conferencing and correspondence via email.

We, Ayurvedologie   , acknowledge the indigenous peoples of every nation as the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live and conduct business. We pay respects to ancestors & elders, in every form, and are committed to honoring their wisdom and sacrifice. We hold space for their deep relationships to the five elements of our existence: earth, water, fire, air, and ether.
