What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda literally means the "science" or "knowledge" of "life" or how to live a long healthy life. The keys to longevity and contentment are revealed in Ayurveda through mind-body-consciousness -- how we think, how we feel, how we digest also affects and is affected by the food we eat, our daily routines, our interactions, choice of exercise, the seasons, life events, daily stress, etc. Ayurveda is the world's oldest holistic health science, with archaeological findings now dating it back to ~7,000 BCE in India.
Who can benefit from Ayurveda?
Every individual. All ages. It's never too early to learn to recognize the signs of your body and mind, and then learn what to do about it. Ayurveda places a strong emphasis on preventive care and maintaining harmony within the body-mind. Ayurveda relies heavily on natural elements such as food, herbs, and oils, making it an attractive option for people who are looking for alternatives to man-made chemicals.
